I don’t understand this Philosophy question and need help to study.

No rule of general morality can show you what you ought to do: no signs are vouchsafed in this world” (“vouchsafed” = revealed or disclosed). First, explain how this “advice” (such as it is) is consistent with Sartre’s existentialist philosophy (e.g., existence before essence, etc.). Second, imagine that the student had come to you. What advice would you give him? Think “outside the box.” What are possibilities other than: stay with your mother, or join the military? Be imaginative, or “invent,” though perhaps not in the sense that Sartre had in mind.
