UMES Widgets of America Training Needs Assessment Discussion – Assignment Help

I’m working on a Psychology exercise and need support.

Assignment 3

Luckily, Reginald was able to impress his supervisor (and fellow coworkers) with his knowledge regarding performance appraisals. Widgets of America has never had any type of in-house consultant or I/O psychologist on staff, but they’re intrigued. The CEO of the company is so interested that she’s decided to give Reginald an opportunity to show his worth. She schedules a meeting with Reginald and tells him this:

“Look, Reggie. Can I call you Reggie? We need to improve our workplace operations, and I want to do that through conducting a training needs assessment (TNA). Once the TNA is completed, I want you to develop a training plan and then tell me how it’ll be evaluated to determine whether or not it is a success. I have reason to believe you’re the man for the job.”

Panicking, Reginald desperately wants to impress. More importantly, he doesn’t want to get fired again. He picks up the phone and calls you, knowing that you work in the exact same industry for a company that operates in the exact same fashion. Because you’re friends, you agree to help him with his assignment. Specifically, he needs help with the following:

Questions / Instruction

-What area have you identified that needs better training (you do NOT need to conduct an actual TNA, just pick an area of improvement). –no length requirement

-To address the deficiency identified above, what is the best training method and why? Choices include Audiovisual, auto-instruction, conference, lecture, modeling, on-the-job training, role play, simulation, and mentoring. – no length requirement

-In 3-4 paragraphs, explain how you’d implement that training program and list out any key components of it.

-How would you evaluate it? –no length requirement

-Please be sure to respond in paragraph form. APA format is not necessary

Note: Obviously, you don’t work for Widgets of America. Use either your current job or speak with a friend/relative regarding their job in order to assist Reginald.
