Below is an example of a bibliography or works cited page in MLA format since 2016
taken from OWL (Purdue’s online writing lab website) to use as a model. Visit the site for specific answers aboutyour citations and an explanation about MLA.
Notice: All lines are double-spaced, and the first line of each citation is in line with the
left margin. All subsequent lines have a hanging indent.
All citations end in a period.
All online sources end with the word “Accessed followed by the date you found the
information and ends with a period.
All entries are organized in alphabetical order by the author’s last name if applicable and by
subject if not.
Your bibliography in MLA format should contain at least seven sources.
